Twenty years ago, I didn’t know copywriter was an actual job. At the time, I was focused on touring the southeast with my band (that was definitely going to be the next Beatles). While working a day job at AutoZone.com, I met a group of agency creatives at a bar across the street — and subsequently found my tribe. So I quit the band and set off on a world tour of ad agencies in Memphis, Dallas and St.Louis.

Along the way, I honed my craft in nearly every medium from print to television, digital, apps, social, radio and direct mail. I created award-winning integrated campaigns for clients in categories including consumer, retail, nonprofit, agriculture, healthcare, tourism, hospitality, technology and finance. 

That includes brands like T-Mobile, Bayer, FedEx, Pepsi, HGTV, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Cotton Inc., American Lung Association and more. When not working, I eat too many carbs, listen to podcasts about murder and teach my daughters to be better than me at everything.
